Join Anais Smith, Bilingual Program Specialist and our Lead Inspection Specialist from the Englewood Health Department for an essential workshop on understanding and preventing lead exposure, especially in older homes. Learn how lead affects children from prenatal stages through development, the risks of inhalation and ingestion, and the dangers of lead poisoning. The session covers laws and safety regulations, testing options, provider responsibilities, and a demonstration of lead testing kits. Representatives from our local health department will share guidance on home inspections, eradication processes, and available resources, empowering parents to protect their children and advocate for their family’s health. Each family will receive a lead home testing kit.
