A Freeman's Place Counseling (AFPC) is a mental health clinic serving children, women and families, offering individual counseling, family counseling, couples counseling, group counseling and medication management for adults. AFPC also has a contract with CSOC to provide in-home services for children and families. 

We are a mental health clinic that takes an educational approach to therapy, serving the community and clinical supervision while validating the human experience. We value connecting with the community and believe that quality mental health care and supervision should be educational and affordable. Everyone, from every community should have access to evidenced based treatment and supervision in a safe, compassionate and educational environment. A Freeman’s Place Counseling strives to accomplish this with every person, from the initial phone call to the first meeting with a therapist and supervisor. We are here for you, the community.

A Freeman's Place Counseling has a number of talented therapists that have an extensive range of clinical expertise to meet the needs of potential clients. Our therapists specialize in multiple therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Client Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and a list of other therapeutic approaches.

We accept most major commercial insurance plans and all of New Jersey Medicaid Plans (Horizon NJ Health, Fidelis, United Community Plan, Wellpoint, Aetna Better Health, etc.)
