An accessible camp for people with disabilities and special needs.

Our 123-acre, fully accessible camp in Hackettstown, NJ offers year-round programs in a beautiful setting that is both safe and fun for children and adults (6-96+). With the support of our dedicated staff, we provide activities that encourage inclusion and bring campers together in a way that promotes personal growth and accomplishment.

Our overnight camp allows for weekends, full-week, and two-week sessions all year long. It’s a time for campers to bolster their self-esteem and independence while having fun. This allows caregivers to take some time for themselves while knowing their loved one is both safe and making memories that will last a lifetime.

All ages, all levels of ability: Swimming, fishing, boating, splash pad, games, biking, hiking, challenge courses, nature studies, zip line, arts & crafts, gardening, team sports, climbing tower, karaoke, music, dancing, talent shows and more! Camp Merry Heart is an approved provider for DDD, Perform Care, DDD Self-Directed (RLC), Family Support Services (FSS), and Medicaid funding.

Scholarship Availability
Camp Merry Heart is an approved provider for DDD, Perform Care, DDD Self-Directed (RLC), Family Support Services (FSS), and Medicaid funding. ESNJ is able to provide third-party camperships/scholarships to individuals or families who may require additional funding support and also meet the campership criteria. Camping and Recreation Campership (Campership Application must be submitted with Respite Application.
