The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing support, education, opportunity and enrichment to persons with Down Syndrome and their families. We are a point of contact for information and support for families who have received the diagnosis either during pregnancy or after the birth of their child and through the lifespan.
In addition, we educate our community at large about Down Syndrome with the hopes of breaking down barriers, eliminating misconceptions, and promoting inclusion for those with Down Syndrome.
Our organization has worked to improve communication in the medical community. We advocate for parents to receive their child’s diagnosis in a sensitive manner, without bias, and accompanied by accurate information on what it means to have Down syndrome and the amazing capabilities of people with Down syndrome.
Club DREAMS
Club DREAMS, a Down syndrome enrichment center, offers enrichment, socialization, education, life skills, and job skills programs for free for individuals with Down syndrome. We have virtual and in-person program options including summer camp, yoga, sports, fitness, dance, art, ASL, cooking, support groups, and life skills and academics.
