Intervention Specialists – Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services
Intervention Specialists is an established outpatient substance use facility dedicated to supporting individuals and families through evidence-based treatment. In addition to our adult substance use and co-occurring mental health programs, we now offer Intensive In-Community (IIC) services for youth and families in need of specialized behavioral and emotional support. It is our mission to support youth with mental health, behavioral, substance use, and family challenges, aiming to strengthen resilience, stability, and family connections.

Our IIC Services
Our IIC program provides goal-oriented, short-term, in-home therapeutic interventions designed to stabilize, support, and empower youth facing mental health, behavioral health, substance use, and family-related challenges. Services are individualized and trauma-informed, utilizing strengths-based and evidence-based approaches to help youth and families develop healthier coping skills, improve communication, and build resilience.

We support youth ages 5-21 who are struggling with:

  • Mental Health Challenges

  • Behavioral Issues
Aggression, defiance, school refusal, impulsivity, and other disruptive behaviors.
  • Substance Use & Co-Occurring Disorders
Early intervention for youth experimenting with or misusing substances, as well as support for those with dual diagnoses.
  • Family & Relationship Difficulties
Parent-child conflict, family stress, trauma, divorce/separation, and reunification support.

Our Approach
Our licensed clinicians use a client-centered and family-focused approach, incorporating:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Managing thoughts, emotions, and behaviors for lasting change.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills – Emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI) – Encouraging personal growth and behavioral change.
  • Trauma-Informed Care – Understanding and addressing the impact of trauma.
  • Family Therapy & Parent Coaching – Strengthening family bonds and improving communication.
