This one-day symposium will shine a spotlight on the critical need for support systems for families affected by problem gambling. These family members play a vital role in the recovery journey yet often find themselves bearing the burden of unrecognized harm.

We will also explore the complexities surrounding active military personnel and veterans, highlighting the concerning connections between PTSD, problem gambling, and suicide. Through open dialogue and expert insights, we aim to foster understanding and create a path towards healing for those in need.

The symposium will take place on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Passaic County Community College’s Wanaque Academic Center in Haskell, New Jersey.
