Bancroft provides specialized programs and services for children and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries and neurological conditions. Programs are located throughout New Jersey, including Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Salem, Mercer, Ocean, Morris, Passaic, Bergen and Union counties.

Services include diagnostic evaluations beginning at age 2, special education, residential services, adult day programs, vocational training and supported employment, behavioral and clinical supports, neurological rehabilitation and outpatient psychological, neuropsychological and diagnostic services. Bancroft also provides professional training and consultation for schools, healthcare providers and community organizations.

Bancroft takes a person-centered, strengths-based approach focused on each individual's needs, goals and opportunities for greater independence and quality of life. Evidence-based practices are used across programs and services, with families and other members of an individual's support network involved in planning and review as appropriate. Interdisciplinary teams may include professionals from education, behavior analysis, psychology, neuropsychology, nursing, social work, rehabilitation therapies and other specialties depending on the program and individual's needs.

Bancroft works with families, school districts, care management organizations, state agencies, insurers and other funding partners to connect individuals with appropriate services. Funding and referral sources vary by program and include the New Jersey Children's System of Care, Division of Developmental Disabilities, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, commercial insurance, Medicare, workers' compensation and automobile insurance.
