Brave Little Minds provides education-based parent training and youth social-emotional skill-building programs designed to strengthen families and support healthy child and adolescent development. Services focus on emotional regulation, positive behavior support, communication skills, coping strategies, and building healthy routines at home and in school settings.
Parent Training Program
Our parent training program supports caregivers of children ages 4-12 through structured group sessions that build confidence, consistency, and practical tools for managing everyday challenges. Topics include understanding behavior, strengthening parent-child connection, setting clear boundaries, managing strong emotions, and creating predictable household routines.
Youth Programs
Youth programs serve ages 10-18 and provide developmentally appropriate, small-group skill-building focused on emotion awareness, stress management, coping strategies, peer communication, decision-making, healthy boundaries, and goal-setting. Programming is adapted for middle school and high school youth to address academic pressure, peer dynamics, and increasing independence.
Individual Skill-Building Sessions
In addition to group programs, individual skill-building sessions are available for caregivers and youth seeking focused support on specific goals such as improving routines, strengthening communication, building coping strategies, or increasing confidence in managing stress. Individual sessions are structured, education-based, and prevention-focused.
All services are non-clinical and do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or mental health treatment. Programming is delivered in partnership with schools, community organizations, and local agencies. Programs may include structured curriculum, attendance tracking, and optional pre- and post-program feedback to measure growth in confidence, coping skills, and family communication.
Services are available across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris, Union, and Hudson counties. For partnership inquiries or referrals, please contact Brave Little Minds directly.
