NEW SERVICE
The Assessment Center at CPAT, where youth and adults (in addition to neurotypical youth) with I/DD and concerning behaviors can receive a specialized and comprehensive Psychological Evaluation by Loren B. Amsell, Ph.D., NADD-CC (a DDD provider).
- Provision of Psychological, Psychosexual, or Fire Setting Risk Assessments, as well as related individual and group psychotherapy.
- Group therapy service for individuals presenting with psychosexual problems, to include cyber sexual addiction and other sexually-disordered behaviors.
- Group psychotherapy, with a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focus, for youth who present with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and related symptomatologies.
Bilingual (Spanish) services are provided.
Services are inclusive to youth who present with developmental or intellectual disabilities or mild Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Day Habilitation/Day Program
Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Our Day Habilitation Program features participation in small group education and boutique habilitation services, including training modules that are age-appropriate and reflective of individuals’ rights and choices. Day Habilitation participants will be assisted in the acquisition of skills and experiences needed to participate in the community. Sample activities include Yoga, Book Club, etiquette, gardening, and culinary arts, as well as many community-based activities such as swimming, horseback riding, and dining.
Community Inclusion at our Enrichment Center
Tuesday-Thursday, 10:00 am-2:00 pm
CPAT is an approved DDD provider of Nested and Stand-Alone Behavioral Supports, Transportation, and Supported Employment. Several of our day program attendees are currently employed through our Supported Employment Program.

Behavioral Supports
CPAT’s behavior support services focus on the use of prosocial and positive reinforcement strategies as well as counseling strategies based on the individual’s unique needs and indicated assessment results. Individuals may also participate in individual and group-based therapies focused on such topics as appropriate social boundaries and interactions with others, appropriate use of social media, appropriate psychosexual boundaries, and anger and emotional management strategies as it relates to the behavioral support services.
