Genuine Joy Counseling is being established with the mission of providing culturally competent and evidence-based mental health services to our clients, as well as high-quality customer service. The founder of Genuine Joy Counseling, Miguel Amador, LCSW, has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working as a clinician, program manager, counseling manager, and court system liaison. Genuine Joy Counseling will provide Trauma-Informed care as its founder is TF-CBT certified.
Our experience enables us to offer effective, individualized psychiatric and psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders and provide a neutral and nurturing ground to individuals and families. Genuine Joy Counseling, In-Home Counseling, and Behavioral Assistance divisions offer culturally competent visiting clinicians who work with children and adolescents throughout the state of New Jersey in the comfort of the family’s home.
