Good Grief
Good Grief provides peer support programs for children, teens, and young adults (ages 3-30ish) who have experienced the death of either a parent, sibling, or grandparent who was a part of the child's daily life. We also provide peer support groups for the parents of the children and teens. We also have a child loss group for any adults who experienced the death of a child from the age of 0-30ish.
Our program is not therapy or counseling; rather, it is sharing with others who have experienced a death similar to yours in groups facilitated by our trained volunteers. On the website, you can view a five-minute video about our program, which gives you an introduction to what constitutes a Night of Support. At the Princeton Center, families are assigned to a Night of Support (NOS) and meet with their groups every other week on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening from approximately 6:30 - 8:15 pm. We offer a pizza dinner before the NOS. Our programs run from September through the end of June. All of our services are free to families.
If you would like to enroll in our program, the next step is to set up an appointment for an orientation by calling me at 908.594.2015.
We also have a location in Morristown, NJ.
