As a counselor, I work with children using ARC concepts to help youth to understand triggers and process emotions by utilizing books to bring up situations children dealing with attachment, emotion regulation, and competency. We do crafts, videos, art, games, and clay to help with feeling safe around the difficulties and behaviors that are causing difficulties for the child at home, school or community. I also work with children and adults around memories to heal the traumatic memories with EMDR or inner child by changing the concepts, beliefs and negative thoughts correlated with this memories.
As a couselor I also work with parents to help them to see their own trauma and how they get triggered by things and become attunded to their children's triggers through the ARC grow corriculum,
