The NJ Youth Resource Spot (NJYRS) is a website created for young people in New Jersey who have been involved with the NJ Department of Children and Families.
- Maybe you’re in foster care, or maybe you were when you were younger, and want to find out how you can get some support in preparing for adulthood or planning to live independently;

Adolescent Housing Hub
The Adolescent Housing Hub (AHH or the Hub) is a real-time database designed to assist youth with placement in a transitional or permanent housing program. AHH is managed by the Office of Housing under the Department of Children and Families. AHH services are available to eligible homeless youth, youth at risk for homelessness, and youth aging out of the child welfare system, ages 18-21. Youth may contact PerformCare at 1-877-652-7624 24 hours a day to find out about housing and supports available to help.
New Jersey Peer2Peer Program: EnlightenMENT
EnlightenMENT is a peer-to-peer mentoring program created to authentically engage with and support youth dealing with a range of experiences in the foster care system. Youth are matched with a peer navigator who will offer advice, guidance, and empowerment strategies with a genuine approach. Navigators that meet you where you are and ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Wraparound Funds
Wraparound is emergency funding for eligible young people who were in foster care at age 16 or older or in a DCF adolescent contracted housing program between the ages of 18 and 21. The funds can be used to pay security deposits, cover up to four months' rent, purchase linens, furniture, driving lessons, food, or other things that can help you transition to interdependence.
LifeSet
LifeSet is an intensive case-management service that was created by Youth Villages to provide young adults with the support and guidance they need to make successful transitions to adulthood. LifeSet services are highly individualized and tailored to suit your individual strengths and needs. Your LifeSet Specialist will meet with you wherever you are comfortable, i.e., your home, place of employment, school, or a community setting, and they can work with you on a variety of topics, including education, employment, housing stability, healthy relationships, mental and physical health, and other independent living skills. LifeSet is currently serving young people statewide who are DCF connected between the ages of 17 and 23.
One Simple Wish
One Simple WishOrganization is a Non-Profit Organization (Not government funded) that supports children, youth, and young adults by spreading love, hope, and joy. They grant wishes to those who’ve been impacted by foster care. If you have ever been in foster care, whether you're currently in care, or aged out, you can ?submit a wish by contacting your current or previous case worker, PACES Coach, or any OSW community partner.
Pathways to Academic and Career Exploration to Success (PACES)
The Pathways to Academic and Career Exploration to Success (PACES) program supports current or former foster youth and young adults in their successful transition to and retention in post-secondary education (including career technical education) and workforce readiness.? The target population for these programs will be youth and young adults ages 16-21 who are eligible for NJ Foster Care (NJFC) Scholars as determined by DCF.
