NJ Care Services is an approved New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) provider supporting adults age 21 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities, at home and in the community. We are approved in all 21 NJ counties and serve both the Supports Program and the Community Care Program.
Get paid to care for someone you love. Parents, siblings, grandparents, other relatives and trusted friends can be hired through NJ Care as a paid caregiver, funded by the individual's DDD budget. We walk you through the background check and required training, then handle the paperwork and payroll.
DDD services we provide:
- Community Based Supports – one-on-one help with daily living, social skills and outings in the community
- Individual Supports – hands-on help with self-care, meals, household tasks and daily routines at home
- Respite – a trusted break for family caregivers, at home or in the community
- Behavioral Supports – assessment, a written support plan, and training for family and staff
- Occupational Therapy – building skills for dressing, eating, writing and using adaptive equipment
- Physical Therapy – improving strength, balance, mobility and safe movement
- Interpreter Services – so individuals and families can fully take part in planning meetings and services
Who may qualify: New Jersey residents age 21+ with a developmental disability who are eligible for DDD services. Services are paid through the individual's DDD budget at no out-of-pocket cost to the family. Already receiving services from another provider? You can switch at any time.
Families with a young adult turning 21: call us early so services are ready when school-based supports end.
Support Coordinators: we are accepting new referrals statewide and respond to every referral within 24 hours.
