Special Quest is a community based after school recreation program for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Special Quest is designed for people ages 12-21 and operates from September - July during the week from 3:30pm - 6:30pm offering a variety of community based recreational activities such as:

• baking
• bowling
• karate
• mall outings
• movies
• sports
• Xtreme energy
• yoga 
• arts and crafts
• field trips
• and more!

Special Quest SATURDAY PROGRAM for Adults 21+ years old.    

Saturdays 10am - 2 pm.  

Special Quest offers a high staff to participant ratio. Our staff ensures that behavior support techniques and interventions, that are effectively utilized in school for each person, are also utilized in the Special Quest Program, thereby offering each participant the opportunity for success.

Our staff will work with each individual as they participate in day to day activities, providing instruction, assistance and intervention as needed.

The program is supervised by a Program Coordinator who has field experience with individuals with ID/DD. An Many of our community sites provide specific skill instruction related to the designated activity.

Our programs aides are college students and other individuals interested in learning about ID/DD and working with our participants.  Our staff receives training in Developmental Disabilities, Autism, CPR/First Aid and behavior intervention and receive training in the unique methods and techniques that work best with the individual program participant.

The Arc is a private, not for profit association which has been serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families for 70 years.
