The Center for Great Expectations (CGE)

The Center for Great Expectations (CGE) is a nonprofit human service and health care organization providing an uncompromised continuum of trauma-informed, client-centered care to pregnant and parenting women and adolescents, individuals, children, and families impacted by substance use and mental health disorders.

CGE’s Relational Recovery Model (RRM) is a proprietary treatment model developed to address gaps in clinical care for mothers and their children impacted by complex trauma and seeking treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The model focuses on strengthening the parent-child relationship while supporting recovery, emotional well-being, and family stability.

CGE provides client-centered treatment designed to achieve the best possible outcomes for both parent and child, with an emphasis on early relational health and breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma, substance use, and homelessness.

Continuum of Care
CGE’s relationally based continuum of care includes:

  • Residential Treatment Centers – Somerset County: Residential treatment services for pregnant and parenting women and adolescents.
  • Adolescent Residential Mommy and Me: A 12-bed Residential Treatment Center (RTC) program for pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children up to age 5. Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families. It is the only program of its kind in New Jersey providing residential treatment for adolescents and their children.
